  • As a member you are supporting education via our various books and the monthly speakers that we bring to Portland.
  • As a member you are directly supporting conservation of orchids in their native habitat.
  • As a member you are assisting the society in community outreach including supporting the largest orchid show in the Pacific Northwest.
  • As a member you are supporting the propagation of orchids as we continue to support the American Orchid Society's Northwest Judging Center.

Membership is open to everyone! Oregon Orchid Society membership should be considered by anyone who is:

  • Interested in the Orchid Hobby
  • Concerned with Orchid Conservation and Preservation
  • A supporter of growing or hybridizing quality, award winning orchids
  • Wanting to learn more about orchids and how to grow them

SO HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF THE OREGON ORCHID SOCIETY?

Membership is based on a calendar year. For those that sign up during or after August we honor that membership through the following year. Beginning March 1st membership will be $24 a year (that's only $2 a month!!!). If you are a current member that has not renewed for the 2010 year you can still renew at the old rate if you do so at or before our April meeting (April 20th).

You can become a member at one of our meetings - just ask any board member or the membership chairperson, Lori Rheinberger. If you'd like to join before you can make it to one of our meetings, you can send a check (written to Oregon Orchid Society) and include your name, address, phone number and email address. You can mail your dues to:
